A service of hope

You are cordially invited to a special ‘Service of Hope’ to mark the two week anniversary of the terror attack which took place in the Finsbury Park area:

Date: Monday 3rd July, 2017

Time: 12:00 Noon*

Venue: Finsbury Park Mosque

This violent attack, which took place against worshippers going home after finishing their night prayers during the blessed month of Ramadan, has shocked everyone.

This service is to remember, in particular, the late Mr Makram Ali who lost his life and the other members of the community who were seriously injured in this attack.

We give thanks to the local community who have demonstrated great courage and resilience. We also extend our gratitude to the Police and Emergency Services for their vigilance, dedication and the vital work that they do to keep our communities and our nation safe from terror and violence.

Together let us affirm our shared humanity to bring light and life to all.

We will pursue justice
We will show mercy
We will seek peace

At a time of sorrow, a time when we are tempted to despair, may we find hope.
