Four years ago today, our community was subjected to an Islamophobic terror attack where we lost a dear member of our congregation and 11 others injured. We renew our commitment to unity in the face of such hatred and we continue to call on politicians to take the threat of Islamophobia seriously.
We, along with our MP Jeremy Corbyn and Cllr Bashir Ibrahim representing Islington Council visited the family of Makram Ali who was a well loved member of our community, a gentleman and wonderful father to his children, to reassure them that they were not forgotten and our community are their bigger family and are there for them.
His life was brutally taken 4 years ago in an Islamophobic terror attack which his family are still feeling the impact of today.
Rest in peace Makram.
