Finsbury Park Mosque in partnership with the British Islamic Medical Association (BIMA) are organising a Lifesavers Basic Life Support training course on Saturday 25th September 2021 straight after Dhuhr prayer from 1.30pm to 5pm.
This free training course aims to deliver essential lifesaving skills to members of our community. The course will be for both male and female attendees so both genders can be catered for.
Given the current national guidelines, we hope to host this event face to face at the Mosque and expect the event to last around 3 hours in total. Certificates will be provided for all participants InshaAllah.
BIMA volunteers are all BLS certified and consist of doctors, medical students and other allied healthcare professionals.
Preliminary outline of the event:
1. PowerPoint presentation + video demonstration
2. Practical tutorials on Basic Life Support scenarios on CPR, recovery position and Managing choking. Volunteers will assist small groups and give direct feedback to individuals on their technique.
