We are pleased to have welcomed a group of around 20 girls and boys aged between 10-14 from 1st Welwyn Scout Troop (based in Welwyn village) with their leaders at the Mosque as part of their Faith Badges, where we had a tour and fruitful dialogue and conversation about the religion of Islam and the Muslim community, our young sister from the Seventurers Explorer Unit (Muslim Scout) delivered a very interactive presentation about Islam while the chairman of the mosque spoke about the community and how this mosque is a place of worship as well as a community centre which serve all communities.
The programme ended by dropping a visit to our guests from the homeless community during our weekly “Meal for All” session in the conference hall to say Hello and show solidarity with them.
