The Finsbury Park Mosque (FPM) opened its doors this weekend for its annual ‘Visit My Mosque’ event, welcoming neighbours, friends, and guests to know more about the religion of Islam, the mosque, and our local Muslim community.
This year marks the 15th year of the open mosque day and the 11th of the Visit My Mosque Day which was initiated and coordinated nationally by the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB). The program included guided tours, an exhibition, prayer observation and the chance for visitors to enjoy tea, coffee and cakes and Q & A conversation with our staff and volunteers.
More than a 100 people from the wider community attended during the day and many guests were interested in the very informative exhibition about Islam and the Muslim community.
The event also attracted local leaders to including the depute leader of the Islington council, the Deputy Mayor of Islington and many local Councillors, senior police officers, faith leaders and community leaders.
Thanks to the hard work from our staff and volunteers.
