A brilliant event yesterday to mark Islamophobia Awareness Month (IAM), a fantastic line of speakers with a fantastic audience who filled the conference hall to hear from our guests including our local MP Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of Islington council, the Metropolitan Police and many other guests.
The theme for this year was “Islington against Islamophobia – Time to change”. Speakers and audience share their experience with Islamophobia and also the positive contribution from the Muslim community. All agreed that Islamophobia or any sort of racism have no place in our society and must be challenged and tackled by all.
